Almeda Mine – Adit Opening Project

MES opened a collapsed adit, located immediately adjacent to the Rogue River in a remote area. Work included the design of a portal support system and engineered shoring plans; underground adit excavation and support; construction and operation of a temporary water treatment system; construction and closure of a waste repository for the sludge removed from the mine. This project received extensive media coverage and was completed within schedule and budget in a very tight timeline to meet client requirements.
