Underground Mine Bulkhead – Dinero Tunnel

MES installed an underground bulkhead to prevent the discharge of acid mine drainage from this tunnel on this BLM-funded CERCLA response action. Scope of work included light rehabilitation and tunnel support, excavation of ponds, and forming and pumping a concrete plug, with post-grouting of the contact and rock formation. (This work is a follow-on to the extensive rehabilitation completed by MES in 2004-5)
