San Juan Coal Mine – Highwall Repair

In 2005, Mining and Environmental Services was contracted to perform repairs to deteriorating shotcrete and rockbolt-stabilized highwall. MES used its own mining engineer and miners to perform repairs using high-lift equipment and was assisted by subcontractor Rock and Co., who provided a team of rope access specialists for areas that could not otherwise be accessed.
