Cresson Mine Pit – Emergency Scaling & Blasting

MES Mining was called on an emergency basis on a Friday evening to assist with a potential rockfall hazard to workers in the pit which had led to a shutdown of production. By Sunday, MES had written a work plan and had it approved by the client’s safety and operations departments and the Mine Safety and Health Administration to perform high scaling and blasting using a rope crew, and began work on Monday morning, completing the work with a blast on Tuesday to allow production to resume at the mine.
