Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station – UG Hoisting System Design

In 2007, MES was contracted to perform a final design for a new hoisting system above the main combat operations command center building. This design involved specifying methods for safe rock excavation and re-support of the tunnel roof above the command center while protecting all existing utilities and structures below and nearby. MES utilized Deere and Ault, Inc. as geotechnical sub-consultants, and worked in association with Anderson and Hastings, Inc. for structural engineering.
