In 2007, MES was retained through Smith-Williams to assist Freeport with portions of a Feasibility Study related to the restart of operations at this historic world-class molybdenum mine. MES work scope involved geotechnical evaluation and cost estimation for tunnel rehabilitation or abandonment options, and the development of a detailed log and quantity take-offs for the tunnel remediation.

MES utilized Dr. John F. Abel, PE, as a reviewing sub-consultant for this work.
