Storke Yard – Demolition

Location: Lake County, Colorado, United States

This work entailed demolition blasting of large reinforced concrete foundations formerly used for mining structures. It was completed in close proximity to State Highway 91, a building that could not be damaged, and also was partially under a high voltage transmission line. MES mining was hired for 2 weeks on a T&M basis to do one foundation. MES completed the initial work and was assigned several months of additional work at substantial cost savings over the lowest fixed bid.
