Oracle Ridge Mine - Underground Mine

Oracle Ridge Mine – Underground Mine Rehabilitation
Client: Oracle Ridge Mining
Location: Oracle, AZ, United States

The work scope for this project, which started in September 2012, includes the planned rehabilitation of approximately 18,750 feet of tunnels to allow safe access to the mine for exploration drilling and evaluation for production. Work consists of inspection, scaling, and rebolting (with mats and mesh and grouted cable bolts, where indicated by conditions) of this underground copper mine which closed in the mid-1990s.

Additional work involves the removal and replacement of existing utilities. MES work to date has included the development of required MSHA safety documents for mine opening for submittal by the owner, establishment, and setup of surface facilities (temporary offices, maintenance work area, change facilities), and concurrent execution of rehabilitation. Rehabilitation of several thousand linear feet of tunnel on the 5900 level has been completed to date.
