Rehabilitation and New Decline Drive
Client: Revenue Silver Mine – Fortune Minerals
Location: United States
Beginning in December 2014, MES was engaged with a Development Services Master Agreement with Fortune Revenue Silver Mines, in support of mine rehabilitation and development work for the Revenue-Virginius underground silver mine, located at 11,200 feet elevation above Ouray, CO.
Initial work was rehabilitation and enlargement of the Terrible Vein drift using rail equipment, which was followed by trackless development of a planned 1200 ft long decline ramp to an ore zone at a lower level, utilizing JCI-125 and Wagner ST-2G muckers and a Secoma Quasar jumbo as primary equipment. This ramp project was suspended at approximately 50% completion after it encountered ground conditions significantly worse than planned.
